BY TRUENORTHFOOT PUBLISHED ON DECEMBER 30, 2024

Fourteen Canadian clubs, from the professional level to the semi-pro League1 Canada, lifted at least one trophy in 2024.

Without further ado, let's recap all these title-winning teams.

This season, Cavalry became Canadian Premier League champions for the first time in the club's short history. Despite constantly being at the top alongside Forge, they were never able to win that one final match.

That changed in 2024, as they defeated the Hammers by 2 goals to 1 and finally added their name to the list of CPL winners.

Business as usual for the Hammers.

Forge added another title to their trophy cabinet, finishing 1st in the regular season for a 2nd time and lifting the CPL Shield.

They ended 2 points clear of 2nd-placed Cavalry, securing the piece of silverware with two matchweeks remaining.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC

The Vancouver Whitecaps secured their 3rd Voyageurs Cup in a row, once again defeating Toronto FC on penalties in the final.

Before the 2022 season started, they had just one Canadian Championship title. That number is now four.

League1 Alberta

Edmonton Scottish (Men's Division)

117-year-old Edmonton Scottish (Yeah, they were founded in 1907!) were crowned inaugural League1 Alberta men's division champions after defeating Calgary Foothills in the final.

They qualified for the 2025 Canadian Championship by finishing first in the regular season, where they’re set to face none other than the Canadian Premier League champions, Cavalry FC.

At last, the Cavs get to face an Edmonton team again!

Calgary Blizzard SC (Women's Division)

The Calgary Blizzard Soccer Club finished 1st in the women's division, securing the title in the inaugural season.

It qualified them for the 2024 League1 Canada Inter-provincial Championship.

League1 British Columbia

TSS Rovers (Men's Division)

The TSS Rovers won the men's division of League1 BC for the 2nd time in their history, defeating Altitude FC 3-2 in a dramatic final, with three penalties being given out in the last 10 minutes, including a last-minute miss by the runner-ups in a golden opportunity to tie things up.

They also finished 1st in the regular season, securing a spot in the 2025 Canadian Championship and making it their 3rd appearance in the competition.

Whitecaps FC Girls Elite (Women's Division)

They did it again. The Vancouver Whitecaps' women's team secured a 3rd League1 BC title in a row, defeating Burnaby FC 2-1 in the final.

This Whitecaps side once again dominated the league, finishing 9 points clear off the 2nd-placed team in a 12-game season. Astonishing!

That 1st-place finish meant they qualified for the 2024 League1 Canada Women's Inter-provincial Championship.

In that tournament, their season only got better.

With this title, they not only became the only pro/semi-pro club in the country to win more than 1 title, but they also qualified for the inaugural edition of the Concacaf W Champions Cup, where they faced Mexican and American giants.

A season for the history books.
