Osaze De Rosario is headed to MLS NEXT Pro side Tacoma Defiance, York United has confirmed.

The third division American club is the reserve team of MLS' Seattle Sounders. Their 2024 season started on Friday as they beat Austin FC II 3-1.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by either club, but Sounder at Heart journalist Jeremiah Oshan reported that while the transfer would be free, York United would retain a significant sell-on fee.

Osaze joined The Nine Stripes at the beginning of the 2022 season. In his time there, he recorded 19 goals in 57 appearances, making him the club's all-time leading scorer.
