The Vancouver Whitecaps are looking to return to winning ways towards the end of the regular season, as they take on Austin FC at Q2 Stadium tomorrow evening.

Here's everything you need to know heading into the game!

How Austin FC enters this match

After eight games without defeat, the streak ended, and Los Verdes have struggled over the past two games.

After a 4-1 loss to Nashville SC ended the streak, Austin were recently beaten 3-1 by LAFC, which puts them closer to elimination from postseason qualification.

Sitting fourteenth in the Western Conference, Davy Arnaud's side needs to win tomorrow evening, and after shocking the visitors in their own backyard a month ago, Austin should feel confident heading into this one.

How the Vancouver Whitecaps enter this match

Now four games without a win, the already-qualified Vancouver are looking to secure the top spot in the Western Conference.

After an impressive 1-1 draw against LAFC, the 'Caps secured a good 0-0 draw against St. Louis City SC, which prevented them from leapfrogging Vancouver in the standings.

Sitting first in the Western Conference, Jesper Sørensen's side leads the West by a single point, and with St. Louis unlikely to slow down anytime soon, Vancouver needs wins to start flowing as the regular season comes to a close.

Head-to-head

The last meeting was about a month ago, when a Christian Ramirez brace shocked the Whitecaps into a 2-1 home loss, with Ryan Gauld missing a spot kick and Brian White scoring a temporary equalizer.

In the overall head-to-head series, the Whitecaps have the lead with a 6-3-2 record against the hosts.

Availability

This section will be updated at 2:00 pm PT following the release of the MLS Availability Report.

For Austin, both Mikkel Desler and Žan Kolmanič missed Wednesday's match due to injuries, with Desler having a better chance of being fit for tomorrow due to him being listed as questionable.

For Vancouver, Sam Adekugbe, Jeevan Badwal, Kenji Cabrera, Belal Halbouni, and Thomas Müller are all unavailable for the game. The good news is that defender Tristan Blackmon is back after serving his one-match ban.
