2025 MLS season schedule released: Key dates

Major League Soccer released the schedule for the 2025 season this Thursday.

All three Canadian MLS clubs will kick off their season away from home on the weekend of February 22-23, with Atlanta United hosting CF Montréal and Toronto FC visiting D.C. United. The Vancouver Whitecaps will begin its campaign away at Portland Timbers.

The Impact will start its year with seven games on the road, hosting their first match of 2025 on April 12 against Charlotte FC. All of the club's home games will begin at 7:30pm local time, with the exception of the clash against archnemesis Toronto FC, which will kick off at 2:30pm local

The Reds' home campaign kicks off on March 15, hosting the Chicago Fire at BMO Field. Seven home games will be played in the afternoon.

The Whitecaps' home opener is technically on February 20, where they'll host Costa Rican giants Deportivo Saprissa in Leg 2 of the Concacaf Champions Cup Preliminary round. Their MLS home opener is just 3 days later, where MLS Cup winners LA Galaxy will be in town.

There will be a total of four all-Canadian matchups in the regular season.

The Vancouver Whitecaps will host CF Montréal on Saturday, March 8 (6:30pm PT / 9:30pm ET) and will then welcome Toronto on March 29.

The first '401 Derby' of the league season will be played at Stade Saputo, with the Impact hosting the Reds on May 17, before the reverse fixture is played on August 30 at BMO Field.

All three Canadian MLS clubs will end their regular season campaign on October 18. Montréal will visit FC Cincinnati, Toronto will play host to Orlando City, and just a few hours later, the Whitecaps will welcome FC Dallas.
