The Vancouver Whitecaps once again made history, eliminating Pumas from the Concacaf Champions Cup and booking their ticket to the semi-finals.
Who will they face there? None other than Lionel Messi's Inter Miami.
Before getting to that, let's recap what became a historic night for the British Columbia outfit.
Vancouver lined up in their usual 4-3-3 formation, with Yohei Takaoka starting in goal.
Tate Johnson, Ranko Veselinovic, Tristan Blackmon, and Edier Ocampo completed the backline, while J.C. Ngando, Andrés Cubas, and Sebastian Berhalter featured in midfield.
Up top, head coach Jesper Sørensen opted for Daniel Ríos in the #9 role over Brian White, flanked by Pedro Vite and Ali Ahmed.

Pumas controlled the opening 10 minutes, pinning the Whitecaps inside their own box and generating most of the early chances.
Vancouver weathered the early pressure and gradually settled into the match, creating some opportunities of their own, though none truly tested goalkeeper Alex Padilla.
In the 33rd minute, Pedro Vite made a great run, carrying the ball to the edge of the box before slipping it to an unmarked Daniel Ríos on the right channel. Ríos then picked out Sebastian Berhalter, whose well-timed run into the box was capped off with a stunning backheel finish to break the deadlock.
Pumas responded almost immediately, as striker Guillermo Martínez capitalized on a loose ball after a corner just four minutes later.
The equalizer made it 1-1 on the night and 2-2 on aggregate, setting the stage for extra-time if the score remained unchanged.

Jesper Sørensen made one change to start the second half, bringing on star striker Brian White for Daniel Ríos.
The game continued similarly, with both sides creating chances.
Yohei Takaoka faced growing pressure as the half wore on, coming up with several crucial saves to keep the score level at 1-1.
Then, in the 88th minute, the Whitecaps were dealt what looked like a crushing blow, as Ignacio Pussetto's header was initially saved by Takaoka, only for the Argentine to bury the rebound after the Vancouver defence switched off.
With the 'Caps needing a goal with just six minutes left, a comeback seemed highly unlikely.
As clubs and national teams across the region know all too well, away games in Mexico and Central America are notoriously difficult, with home sides often resorting to time-wasting tactics, faking injuries, and heated confrontations to grind out a result.
However, the Whitecaps weren’t done yet.
In the third minute of added time, Edier Ocampo picked up the ball on the right channel after a misjudged header from Brian White, just managing to slip past Rubén Duarte before whipping in a cross right in front of goal—where an unmarked Tristan Blackmon met it with a powerful volley to score the equalizer, and technically, the winner.
