Concacaf has confirmed the key details for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, including the draw and match dates.
The draw is scheduled for Tuesday, December 9, at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT, and will be streamed live on Concacaf’s YouTube channel. The tournament will keep its current format: 22 teams enter Round One, with the 11 winners advancing to join five teams that start directly in the Round of 16.
One of those five spots could go to the Vancouver Whitecaps, as the MLS Cup winner earns a bye into the Round of 16.
The participating clubs will be ranked based on Concacaf's club ranking from December 8, 2025.

Which Canadian clubs will participate?
No Canadian team has qualified for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup yet, but with the domestic season winding down, the picture is starting to take shape.
The Canadian Championship winner earns a direct berth, with this year’s final featuring the Vancouver Whitecaps and Vancouver FC. Since the Whitecaps can also qualify through MLS league play, there’s a strong chance Vancouver FC could reach the tournament regardless of the final’s outcome.
In the Canadian Premier League, both the regular season winner and the playoff champion qualify. If one team takes both titles, the second berth goes to the CPL regular season runner-up. Currently, Forge lead the table with 50 points, two ahead of Atlético Ottawa. Cavalry sit third, nine points back with four matches left, meaning the top two will almost certainly come down to Forge and Ottawa.
Elsewhere, the Halifax Wanderers have already locked up a playoff spot, while York United need just two more points from their remaining four games to secure the final post-season berth.
