Cavalry host FC Supra in a rescheduled midweek clash.

Originally scheduled for late June but postponed due to heavy rain, the two sides will finally meet for the second time this season. The clubs last met at the beginning of May, with Cavalry earning a narrow 1-0 victory thanks to a Tobias Warschewski penalty following a controversial FVS decision.

Rain will not be a concern this time around, with blue skies expected and temperatures at kickoff forecast to hover around 27°C. Air quality has been a concern around the CPL and in Alberta in recent weeks, but conditions south of Calgary are expected to remain moderate over the coming days.

The hosts have struggled as of late. A disappointing Canadian Championship exit to the Vancouver Whitecaps has been followed by a 1-1 league draw against Halifax and, most recently, a 1-0 defeat to Vancouver FC. Cavalry still lead the CPL in goals scored and goal differential, but they will need to reverse their recent form if they hope to maintain that trend through the second half of the season.

FC Supra come into the match following a 3-2 road victory over Halifax. All three of Supra's goals came from Loïc Kwemi, with the 29-year-old completing his hat-trick in a remarkable 10-minute span during the second half. Two goals came from nearly identical penalties, while the third was deflected in off a Wanderers defender. Aside from last week's victory, Supra had lost three consecutive league matches, leaving the club just outside the playoff spots.

Availability

Cavalry will be without midfielders Eryk Kobza and Harry Paton, as both continue to serve disciplinary suspensions. In better news for the home side, Michael Baldisimo played 86 minutes last time out after appearing to suffer a lower-body injury in an earlier match. Niko Myroniuk will likely be called upon to fill the midfield role if Tommy Wheldon Jr. sticks with his usual formation. Myroniuk will be an important part of the squad for the remainder of the season, as Cavalry still need to meet their U21 minutes requirement, while Adam Pearlman has surpassed the maximum 1,000 minutes permitted for a loan player. Pearlman is still eligible to play, but any additional minutes will no longer count toward the club's U21 total.

Supra will also be without forward Riad Bey, who is serving the second match of a two-game suspension for violent conduct following his red card against Vancouver FC.
