The Wanderers will be shaking their heads after this match

This will be a tough one for Vanni Sartini and his squad to move on from. Halifax looked dominant in the first 60 minutes of the match, playing arguably their best brand of football in the Sartini era. The Wanderers created plenty of chances for themselves and did a decent job of getting those chances on target. In particular, they were very clinical in their set-piece play, resulting in goals for Cyprian Kachwale and Finn Linder. But careless mistakes and disciplinary concerns proved costly for the Wanderers, as they gave up two penalties that directly resulted in goals. If these concerns do not change, the Halifax Wanderers may continue to be on the outside looking in of a play-off spot for the remainder of the 2026 CPL season.

Löic Kwemi earning his spot in FC Supra history books

Despite it being arguably the easiest hat-trick in CPL history, Löic Kwemi earned his man-of-the-match performance through his high football IQ, relentless engine, and a little bit of luck. The 29-year-old Cameroonian-born Canadian found himself on target twice from the penalty spot, after fouls given up by Ryan Telfer and Thomas Meilleur-Giguère were deemed worthy of a penalty by referee Fabrizio Stasolla, who called a near-perfect match in this clash. Kwemi also found the back of the net through a deflection off Wanderers defender Meilleur-Giguère, causing the ball to travel to Marco Carducci's left as the 30-year-old Calgary, Alberta native dove to his right, resulting in a Supra goal. This performance brings Löic Kwemi to the top of the Golden Boot race and will likely have the player absolutely buzzing at his level of play so far this season.

Joakim Milli also deserves some praise for tonight's result. The 26-year-old goalkeeper from Montréal, Québec, made some massive saves to keep his side in the match and earn the victory. Milli's quality will continue to earn the respect and confidence of his manager, and may be crucial for FC Supra in their push to make a deep run for a play-off spot.

FC Supra still getting the better of the Halifax Wanderers

Tonight's result brings FC Supra du Québec to two wins in two against their Eastern Canada counterparts in the Halifax Wanderers. So far, Nick Razzaghi has had the upper hand in the rivalry between the two clubs and continues to leave Vanni Sartini searching for answers as to how to get a result against the Québécois side.
