Richie Laryea sidelined for at least 3 months after sustaining hamstring injury
BY TRUENORTHFOOT PUBLISHED ON MARCH 19, 2024 (MODIFIED ON MAR 19, 2024)

In a statement published on Tuesday, Toronto FC announced that Richie Laryea will undergo surgery to repair his right hamstring, keeping him away from the pitch for a minimum of three months.

It's a huge blow for the Reds, who signed the full-back on a permanent transfer from Nottingham Forest just under a month ago.

Richie only played 70 minutes this season, with all of those coming in the club's first game of the season, which ended in a goalless draw away at FC Cincinnati.

With the Copa América being just 2 months out, Richie Laryea is almost guaranteed to miss it should the men's national team beat Trinidad & Tobago this Saturday in the play-in match.
