Cavalry welcomes FC Supra du Québec to ATCO Field for the fourth and final meeting between the clubs in the 2026 regular season.

The clubs first met back in May when Cavalry took a 1-0 win at Stade Boreale after a Tobias Warschewski 88th-minute penalty decided a highly contentious and controversial matchup.

The sides then met in Alberta for the first time in July and played to a 2-1 Cavlary victory in a contest highlighted by a surprise Joseph Holliday start in goal. In another late thriller, Amer Didic would secure the win for the home side in the 94th minute.

Just 11 days later, the setting would shift back to Quebec where the squads played to an exciting 1-1 draw. Supra took the lead in the 80th minute thanks to a beautiful sequence finished off by Aboubacar Sissoko, but Cavalry drew level in the 88th minute thanks to a Caniggia Elva header.

Taken together, the trend is clear. Supra and Cavalry play each other perilously closely, and late fireworks are all but guaranteed.

How Cavalry enter the match

The Cavs' impressive winning streak was snapped last week by Forge at five matches. Owen Antoniuk scored a dramatic late equalizer on a set piece that solidified a single point in a 1-1 draw and ensured their CPL Shield rivals did not make up ground in the points standings. Cavalry's unbeaten run, which began with their July victory over Supra, remains intact at nine matches. Sitting first in the CPL table, they are mathematically locked into a playoff position, but are yet to meet their U21 minutes requirement needed for postseason qualification.

How Supra enter the match

The visitors enter matchweek 23 outside the playoff picture, looking in. Their 7-4-11 record sees them on 25 points, seven short of fourth-place Vancouver FC, but with two fewer matches played. Last week, the expansion side took a much-needed 2-0 away win in Ottawa. Sean Rea scored his fifth goal of the season in the 56th minute, while Loïc added his league-leading 11th goal in the 75th minute.

Availability

Tobias Warschewski was sent off for picking up his second yellow after setting up the equalizer last week. The German will miss Friday's match to serve a one-match suspension.

The St. Lucian national team has called up fellow attacker Caniggia Elva, who will also be absent.

When asked how the absences up front would impact roster construction, Tommy Wheeldon Jr. suggested that loan signing Owen Graham-Roache may factor in for the home side this weekend. Wheeldon confirmed in his media availability after the Forge match that Graham-Roache was match fit last week but arrived late and didn't have enough time to fully integrate into Cavalry's system.

Michael Baldisimo remains away from Cavalry to compete at with the Philippines. The side have been eliminated from the 2026 Asian Games but have a sries of friendlies scheduled in the upcoming international window.

Fellow midfielder Harry Paton is subject to a one-match suspension for yellow card accumulation, leaving the Cavs shorthanded in the defensive midfield.

Supra's newest signing, Jack McInerney, made his club debut against Ottawa, coming on in stoppage time. McInerney should be available this weekend and for the remainder of the season.

Zachary Brault-Guillard played his first full 90 minutes on Supra's back line against Ottawa. The 27-year-old Haitian has added an offensive threat through his two appearances, delivering four crosses and adding two shots.

One of Supra's young talents, Alexander Makarov, is also away from the club to compete with Canada's U17 squad at the UEFA Friendship Cup. Makarova has four appearances with the first team this season.
