Sean Rea back on the scoresheet
It was a much-needed goal for the attacking midfielder, who hadn't found the net since he last visited TD Place back in August. Rea was a player to watch in today's matchup, and he proved why, being in the right area to slot the rebound into the back of the net in the 56th minute. This goal brings him to ten goal contributions (five goals, five assists) across CPL action, putting him level with Pacific's Yann Toualy for fourth in 2026. The 24-year-old has been monumental for Nick Razzaghi's side, and getting the Montréal-born attacker going will be the injection Supra need to sneak into the play-offs and compete for the North Star Cup.
Both goalkeepers show their quality
Christopher Kalongo for Atlético Ottawa and Joakim Milli for FC Supra both did well in front of their goals in today's matchup. Both players looked confident and agile, making key saves to keep their sides in contention. Milli in particular had a strong performance, grabbing the game's best save when the 26-year-old Montréal, Québec native came out quickly and made himself large to deny a shot from Ottawa youngster Joaquim Coulanges. For Kalongo, he will feel unfortunate to concede two goals after stopping seven shots. Atlético Ottawa appeared a bit slow getting back to defend, so it will be an area team manager Gustavo Leal will work on as his side closes out the final few weeks of CPL football.
Uninspiring defeat for Atlético Ottawa
It was a tough day for the boys in red and white stripes in front of their home supporters, as they couldn't finish their chances or take anything from today's matchup. Atlético Ottawa are still in a transitional period after losing North Star Cup-winning manager Diego Mejía, as well as key attacking players such as David Rodríguez and Samuel Salter — hence the recent signings. Despite this, they remain third in the league table, albeit with a negative goal difference. Gustavo Leal and his team will hope their recent signings and the quality from players such as Ballou Tabla, Roni Mbomio, Manny Aparicio, and Nick FC will mesh well and give the top CPL teams plenty to think about come play-off time.
FC Supra to make a play-off push?
It was a performance that will leave Nick Razzaghi and Supra fans feeling inspired and hopeful of seeing their side play some late-autumn football. All eleven players in navy blue looked focused and hungry in today's matchup. No player on the pitch looked more influential than Diyaddine Abzi — the veteran left back with experience and a goal to his name in France's second division — who earned a brilliant assist in the 75th minute, finding centre forward Löic Kwemi with a wide-open goal to aim at. Supra took 19 total shots, with nine finding the target. They also defended well, allowing only seven shots (three on target) against a play-off side. Other players deserving recognition from this matchup include Alessandro Biello, Zachary Brault-Guillard, and Mattisse Chrétien. Supra du Québec look like they won't be slowing down anytime soon as they make their mountainous climb into a play-off spot.
