Benítez originally joined the club in 2022 on a short-term contract, but was not signed to a standard one after his great performances.
He returned to Vaughan Azzurri and then signed for the Simcoe County Rovers, where he scored 22 times in 31 matches.
His performances with at the semi-pro level finally earned him a standard contract in the professional level, with Forge signing him in September of 2024.
Benítez joins goalkeepers Jassem Koleilat and Christopher Kalongo; defenders Malik Owolabi-Belewu and Alexander Achinioti-Jonsson; midfielders Noah Jensen, Khadim Kane, and Elimane Cisse; and attackers Nana Ampomah, David Choinière, and Beni Badibanga.
