BY TRUENORTHFOOT PUBLISHED ON DECEMBER 20, 2024

Saudi Arabia will participate in the 2025 and 2027 editions of the Concacaf Gold Cup, the federation announced on Thursday.

The Asian team will join a list of previous guests the competition had in past editions; Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Qatar, South Africa, and South Korea.

The federation also confirmed the date for the draw: Thursday, April 10, 2025. The Canadian Men's National Team will find out their group stage opponents and potential path to the final.

Nine teams already have their spot secured in the competition: Canada, Curacao, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, the United States, and of course, Saudi Arabia.

A further seven teams will qualify through the Gold Cup preliminary round, which will be played in March of 2025.

BC Place of Vancouver will be the lone host stadium in Canada, with the 10 other host cities being in the United States.
