Running out of ways to describe just how good this side is.

The Vancouver Whitecaps picked up another three points, dispatching Sporting Kansas City with a comfortable 3-0 win.

Jesper Sørensen made two changes from the side that beat New York City FC, with Bruno Caicedo and Emmanuel Sabbi coming in for Cheikh Sabaly and Jeevan Badwal.

Raphaël Wicky made five changes after Kansas City’s loss to the Colorado Switchbacks, bringing in Kwaku Agyabeng, Ethan Bartlow, Manu García, Macielo Tschantret, and Calvin Harris in place of Jayden Reid, Jansen Miller, Lasse Berg Johnsen, Jacob Davis, and Magomed Shapi-Suleymanov.

The Whitecaps started fast, creating a big chance just two minutes in as Édier Ocampo met a long ball from Yohei Takaoka and crossed for Sabbi, who headed wide from a great position.

Sabbi made amends in the 13th minute. After a sequence involving Thomas Müller, Brian White, and Mathías Laborda, the ball fell to him in the box, and he fired home after it came off the hand of Justin Reynolds to make it 1-0.

Vancouver continued to press, and Sabbi nearly had another moment later, only to be denied by John Pulskamp.

The second goal came in the 23rd minute after a poor pass from Tschantret was intercepted by Caicedo, who calmly finished into the bottom corner for his first goal with the club.

Just five minutes later, Sabbi kept a loose ball in play and delivered a perfect cross for Müller, who headed in his fourth goal of the season to make it 3-0.

Kansas City picked up the game’s first booking in the 32nd minute when Harris was cautioned for repeated fouls on Tate Johnson.

Vancouver could have added a fourth before halftime, as Sabbi struck the crossbar and the rebound fell to White, who headed over from close range. Another chance followed in stoppage time, but Sebastian Berhalter also hit the bar.

The second half began without changes, and Vancouver continued to threaten. A dangerous free kick early on led to a Pulskamp save to prevent an own goal, before Caicedo fired the rebound wide.

Caicedo was replaced in the 61st minute by Kenji Cabrera after another strong performance.

Kansas City showed some life in the 65th minute, but Tristan Blackmon made a key block to deny Ian James. Diego Borges was then booked for pulling Sabbi back on a promising attack, before Berhalter received a yellow card shortly after.

Berhalter delivered another dangerous corner in the 73rd minute, but Müller’s header was saved.

Vancouver made further changes, with Oliver Larraz and Rayan Elloumi replacing Berhalter and White. There was also an injury concern as Sabbi came off in the 82nd minute after a knock, with Cheikh Sabaly coming on, while Nikola Djordjevic made his debut in place of Ocampo.

The Whitecaps had one final chance in stoppage time, but Elloumi was denied by Pulskamp.

Elijio Arreguin brought the match to a close after five minutes of added time, sealing Vancouver’s seventh win of the MLS season.

They return to action next week for their final home match before the FIFA World Cup, hosting the Colorado Rapids on April 25, with kickoff set for 7:30 pm PT / 10:30 pm ET.
