Players to Watch

With the departure of star striker Dejan Joveljić, Kansas City could find some goals in Canadian attacker Stephen Afrifa. He's had difficulty receiving minutes under Raphaël Wicky: out of his 18 appearances across all competitions, he's only started one. Stat-wise, Afrifa has recorded two goals and one assist in limited minutes, including a stunning consolation goal last week against Atlanta United. Afrifa could see more minutes. Club record signing André Luiz will likely start on the bench tomorrow, while other big-money signing Owen Wolff is recovering from an ankle injury.

A defender who has been showing up for his side is Colombian rightback Édier Ocampo, who continues to show his importance to the side. He was excellent last week against FC Dallas: he not only recorded a goal and an assist but also made some great defensive plays. Ocampo has recorded two goals and two assists in 28 games across all competitions. He will be crucial once again for Jesper Sørensen and Vancouver.

Availability

For Kansas City, Jake Davis and Owen Wolff are unavailable due to injuries, while Canadian international Zorhan Bassong is listed as questionable due to a calf injury.

For Vancouver, Kenji Cabrera, Belal Halbouni, Kwasi Poku, Ralph Priso, and Ranko Veselinović are unavailable due to injuries, with Priso suffering an ankle injury last week. Aleksa Cvetković has had his visa paperwork resolved, but it's unlikely he will be available just yet as he builds fitness alongside Sebastián Ramírez.
