Sergio Ramos will not make the trip to Vancouver for Wednesday's Champions Cup clash between the Whitecaps and C.F. Monterrey, as first reported by ABC Noticias MX.
The 38-year-old legend of the game will sit out for precautionary reasons, having played and scored in his side's 4-2 win over Santos Laguna on Sunday.
When asked about his status, head coach Martín Demichelis said that a decision has yet to be made: "Similar to what I said recently, we haven't trained yet, so we will make conclusions and decisions afterward. I talked to Sergio yesterday, I will talk to him today, and together we will make a decision that is appropriate at the moment because of his inactivity." (Translated from Spanish)
