The second and deciding leg of the semi-final tie between Cavalry and Supra will get underway at ATCO Field on Saturday.

Supra emerged with a 2-1 victory in leg one last weekend in their debut playoff appearance. The league's newest side jumped out to an early 2-0 lead within the opening quarter-hour and stifled Cavalry’s league-leading offence thereafter.

The Cavs' only goal came from a penalty kick sequence, where Tobias Warschewski powered home his own rebound after Joakim Milli made the initial save. Unfortunately for the visitors, Supra's defence prevented Cavalry from putting a shot on target throughout the second half.

Though trailing, the Shield winners remain confident they can pull off the comeback, especially given their run of form at home in 2026.

Unbeaten at ATCO Field since July of last year, Cavalry collected 11 wins and four draws from their home games in all competitions in 2026, including a 6-0 thrashing of Supra just six weeks ago.

It must be noted, however, that the 6-0 result was the last match before Kyt Selaidopoulos took over on the bench. The Supra squad that takes to the pitch on Saturday, while largely similar in composition, has been completely turned around under Selaidopoulos and hasn't lost a match since that September defeat.

As the semi-finals are decided on aggregate, a victory by any margin (their first at ATCO Field) or a draw after 90 minutes would send Supra through to their first-ever CPL Final. If Cavalry win by a single goal, two 15-minute halves of extra time would be played to decide who advances. If the teams are still tied, the fixture would go to penalties.

Thus, a two-goal advantage through 90 minutes is the optimal outcome for the home side, avoiding extra time and penalties, where they are 0-3 all-time.

Availability

Safwane Mlah will remain out for Supra as he continues to serve his suspension from the last game of the regular season.

Otherwise, Selaidopoulos has made few changes to his typical eleven since taking the helm, especially given that he has yet to field a losing lineup. When lineups are made available on Saturday, the visitors should field a familiar group of starters.

For Cavalry, the starting eleven may look quite different.

Sergio Camargo, who has been out since mid-September, is expected to be available for selection. Expect the midfielder to be in the lineup, but an appearance off the bench or an early exit are most likely.

Adam Pearlman, who suffered a shoulder injury on Decision Day, was dearly missed in Cavalry's back line last weekend. The U21 Player of the Year nominee would be a welcome addition in the all-or-nothing second leg. Importantly, because Pearlman is a loan player from Toronto FC, Cavalry may not have the ultimate say in his match readiness.

As in leg one, Goteh Ntignee will also miss Cavalry's lineup on Saturday with an undisclosed injury.

A final consideration for the home side is the upcoming international window. Ali Musse was named to the Somali national team's 23-man roster ahead of the side's AFCON qualifying matches. While the international fixture isn't until November 12, Musse's early exit may be forthcoming.
