Cavalry backed up their pre-match comeback proclamations with a 2-0 win in front of their home supporters to advance to the CPL Final.

A goal in each half propelled the Shield winners to a 3-2 aggregate win, advancing after a scare in the first leg.

Kyt Selaidopoulos reprised his starting lineup from leg one, retaining his typical 4-2-3-1 formation.

Meanwhile, Cavalry made three changes to their personnel from last weekend. In the continued absence of Adam Pearlman, Nathaniel Edwards dropped to the backline alongside Bradley Kamdem Fewo, Daan Klomp, and Amer Didic. In midfield, Harry Paton drew into the starting lineup alongside Michael Baldisimo, while Sergio Camargo returned to the eleven next to Tobias Warschewski and Ali Musse.

Cavalry got off to a fast and confident start, signalling their intention to draw level on aggregate and remind the visitors they were not to be taken lightly.

Supra would ultimately register the first pair of shots on net, with Cavalry defenders breaking up each effort before Nathan Ingham was required to make any saves.

Cavalry got on the board in the 25th minute after surviving Supra's offensive foray. Ali Musse dribbled into the box, leaving a pass for Tobias Warschewski. The German's shot deflected off a Supra defender and fell to an unmarked Caniggia Elva, who made no mistake and struck the ball past Joakim Milli.

The teams traded chances for the rest of the first half, with Milli making a diving save at one end and the Cavs' defence handling several shots from the visitors at the other.

Ultimately, the teams headed to the locker rooms at halftime with Cavalry leading 1-0.

With the aggregate score now tied at two goals apiece, the Cavs began the second half with another slew of offensive chances.

A foul in the box in the 55th minute saw referee Michael Venne point to the penalty spot for Cavalry. Selaidopoulos challenged the call, but the decision was upheld. After Tobias Warschewski missed last week, Ali Musse placed the ball on the spot for the home side. The change in penalty taker made no difference, with Musse's strike being saved by Joakim Milli, who made his second penalty save in as many matches.

Despite the miss, Cavalry were able to mount a significant offensive stretch of play and would eventually be rewarded in the 60th minute. A brilliant individual effort from Musse saw him somehow get past four Supra defenders and place the ball into the bottom corner of the goal, putting his team ahead in the series for the first time.

Now needing a goal to draw level on aggregate, Supra pressed forward for the final half-hour. Despite Cavalry's defensive struggles as of late, the home side withstood the late push, though they gave up possession on multiple clearance attempts. Ultimately, Cavalry gave up only two shots on goal in the final half-hour of play. Supra earned multiple corners in the final quarter-hour but couldn't generate meaningful attempts on Nathan Ingham.

As Supra's desperation grew, a sideline incident with a ball retriever prompted Cavalry to use their final FVS challenge, resulting in a missed red card on Alessandro Biello. After a brief look at the monitor, Venne reversed his on-field decision and sent the U21 player off for violent conduct.

Supra had one last chance to level the aggregate score with a pair of corner kicks, but Cavalry withstood the offensive push through to the final whistle.

With the loss, FC Supra's inaugural season ends. Their six-match unbeaten run under Selaidopoulos before tonight's action remains a positive sign for what's to come. With a young roster, an unlikely CPL playoff appearance, and a respectable Voyageurs Cup run in 2026, Supra's aspirations will be set even higher in the new year.

Cavalry, meanwhile, advance to their fourth consecutive CPL final with the win and will host the title-deciding match on their home field for the first time since 2024. The men in red will welcome Atlético Ottawa on Saturday, November 21, for a rematch of the unforgettable 2025 CPL final.
