A Chilean legend is headed to La Belle Province.
Alexis Sánchez will play for CF Montréal, according to Maxime Truman and Chilean outlet La Tercera. The 37-year-old, who most recently played for Sevilla in Spain, will wear the number 10, as confirmed by the club in their teaser.

According to the Chilean outlet, Sánchez will sign a two-year contract in Montreal, having also turned down a one-year extension offered by Sevilla.
The Athletic also added to the report, stating that the attacking midfielder will be on a DP contract.
'El Niño Maravilla' spent the majority of his career in Europe, turning out for the likes of FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Inter Milan, as well as South American giants Colo-Colo and River Plate. His most recent stint at Sevilla saw him feature in 30 games across all competitions, scoring four times.
The attacking midfielder is Chile's all-time leading scorer, netting 51 times in 168 appearances, and won back-to-back Copa Américas in 2015 and 2016 against Argentina, scoring the decisive penalty in the former.
It's a statement signing from a club that has desperately needed one. Sánchez will join fellow Chilean Thomas Gillier in Hochelaga and provide the attacking boost Montréal have been crying out for, with the club sitting second-last in their conference and seven points adrift of the final playoff spot.
The Bleu-blanc-noir are still very much alive in the Voyageurs Cup, where they are set to face the Vancouver Whitecaps in a two-legged semi-final in September.
It will be interesting to see what a 37-year-old Sánchez can do for Montréal, but one thing is clear: It's a statement of intent from an ownership group that has shown little to no interest in their MLS club.
