Samuel Salter stays: Atlético Ottawa exercised his 2025 option
BY TRUENORTHFOOT PUBLISHED ON DECEMBER 30, 2024

Atlético Ottawa isn't done with the contract extension announcements.

The club announced this Monday that they had triggered forward Samuel Salter's 2025 club option, keeping the striker in the nation's capital for at least one more season.

The 24-year-old became the first player in CPL history to move between clubs in the league for a transfer fee, departing the Wanderers for Ottléti before the 2023 season.

Since then, Salter has made 62 appearances for Ottawa, scoring 13 goals and providing 5 assists.

With Rubén del Campo's departure, he could find himself back in the starting XI at the number 9 role.
