CF Montréal are back in action following the international break.

The club will close out its six-game away stint to start the season by visiting the New England Revolution in Foxborough on Saturday.

Both sides are looking for their second wins of the season, with the US outfit having played four games to Montréal's five.

How CF Montréal come into the match

The Impact fell to FC Cincinnati in a disappointing 4-3 loss, despite playing more than 30 minutes with an extra man after a red card for the US side. Montreal led 3-2 by the 64th minute and showed attacking intent, but then shifted to a more defensive approach, allowing Cincinnati to score twice, including the winner in the 90+4th minute.

Prince Owusu scored twice, while Wiki Carmona continued his strong form with another goal.

How New England Revolution come into the match

The Greater Boston team was defeated by St. Louis City right before the international break. They took a 1-0 lead in the opening minutes through Ilay Feingold, before former Whitecaps man Simon Becher scored the equalizer. Christopher Durkin and Marcel Hartel added to St. Louis’ tally later on.

Last time out

Montréal defeated New England 3-1 away from home on July 25, 2025, in what can be described as the discovery of Olger Escobar. The Guatemalan shone in the few minutes he was given, scoring at the death to secure his side’s victory. Prince Owusu and Dante Sealy were the other players on the scoresheet, while Tomas Chancalay had initially put the Revolution ahead early on.

Absences and doubts

Thomas Gillier is expected to get a break after coming back from international action with Chile, with head coach Marco Donadel saying "[he's] coming back from New Zealand [...] He doesn't even know which day it is!"

Bode Hidalgo, Sunusi Ibrahim and Brayan Vera have been listed as unavailable due to injuries.

Projected XI

CF Montréal: Sébastian Breza; Luca Petrasso, Tomás Avilés, Efraín Morales, Dagur Thórhallsson; Wiki Carmona, Victor Loturi, Matthew Longstaff; Iván Jaime, Prince Owusu, Gennadiy Synchuk
