It's mission impossible for Vancouver FC.

The Eagles travel to Mexico to face Cruz Azul in leg two of the Concacaf Champions Cup round one series.

The first leg ended in a comfortable 3-0 victory for 'La Máquina', who have their ticket to the next round all but secured.

How Cruz Azul come into the match

The Mexican side — who sit third in Liga MX after five rounds — played to a 1-1 draw away to Toluca, with José Paradela, who also scored against Vancouver, netting a late equalizer in the second half to cancel out Paulinho's 41st-minute opener.

Last time out

Cruz Azul cruised to a 3-0 victory at Willoughby Community Park, effectively putting the tie to bed after 90 minutes.

José Paradela opened the scoring in the first half before Amaury Morales doubled the visitors' lead. Agustín Palavecino rounded out the scoring with a beautifully worked team goal.

'La Máquina' enjoyed 71% possession and registered 34 shots — nine of which were on target.

Projected XI

TrueNorthFoot projects no changes from the side that saw Vancouver FC lose 3-0 in leg one. While Nicolás Mezquida's substitution provided a necessary boost for the Eagles, the Uruguayan will once again come on from the bench.
