How Atlético Ottawa and Vancouver FC come into Thursday’s match
Ottawa dropped points in league play on Sunday, settling for a 2-2 draw away at York United after surrendering the lead twice. Sam Salter scored both goals, reaching 17 for the Canadian Premier League season and shattering the previous record of 14 set by João Morelli with Halifax Wanderers in 2021.
Vancouver drew 1-1 in the final Salish Sea Derby of 2025. Hugo Mbongue put the Eagles ahead near the end of the first half, but Pacific equalized at the death through Aly Ndom. Already eliminated from CPL playoff contention, the Eagles are now focused solely on Voyageurs Cup glory.
