Atlético Ottawa rescued a point at the death in their home opener, denying Vancouver FC a first win of the season.
Vancouver had the most chances, but Ottawa's attack proved too much to handle at the end.
The hosts' best chance of the first half came through Ballou Tabla, who dribbled his way just outside the six-yard box before putting his shot just wide of goal.
Vancouver had a golden opportunity to open the scoring late in the first half, with two headers finding either side of the net before Terran Campbell blazed a shot well over the bar from the penalty spot.
The game's two biggest moments came within a minute of each other. Atlético Ottawa were awarded a penalty following an FVS check, but Santiago López, on his first home appearance for the club, saw his effort saved by Callum Irving.
Vancouver immediately broke on the counter, with Morey Doner driving forward down the right and delivering a cross to Mohamed Amissi, who headed the ball past Garissone Innocent to put the visitors 1-0 ahead.

The Eagles finally had their first goal of the season, having been shut out through their opening five matches this year across all competitions.
The hosts were denied a potential penalty near the end of the match after an FVS check.
In the seventh minute of added time, a slick combination from Atlético Ottawa saw Kamron Habibullah thread a pass through to Emiliano García, who slotted past Callum Irving to rescue a point for the reigning champions.

For Atlético Ottawa, today will feel more like a point won than two dropped, though their difficulty generating chances remains an ongoing concern.
For Vancouver, it's the opposite feeling. Despite claiming their first point and scoring their first goal of the season, today will feel like two points dropped.
