Rumour: CF Montréal forward Matías Cóccaro to join Liga MX outfit Atlas on a 1-year loan
BY TRUENORTHFOOT PUBLISHED ON DECEMBER 29, 2024 (MODIFIED ON DEC 29, 2024)

Matías Cóccaro will  join Liga MX side Atlas on a 1-year loan deal, according to César Luis Merlo of AM.

Atlas will have an option to buy.

The Uruguayan forward joined the Impact before the 2024 season started but struggled to adapt to Major League Soccer, scoring 5 goals and registering 1 assist in 25 appearances for the Bleu-blanc-noir.

Cóccaro signed from Argentine side Huracán, where he scored 31 times in 110 matches and was loved by its fans.

"El Zorro" isn't the only player to sign for Atlas from a Canadian club, with Forge FC's Daniel Parra reportedly also joining "Los Rojinegros".
