Fafa Picault is leaving the Vancouver Whitecaps, the 33-year-old announced in an Instagram post.
"From the bottom of my heart, thank you Vancouver. From the beautiful city, fans, new friends, front office, and amazing staff, thank you," Picault wrote. "Last but greatest, thank you to the fantastic brothers I was blessed to share a locker room with daily. Nothing but love for each and every one of you. God bless you all."
Picault had a great 2024 with the 'Caps, scoring 10 times and registering 8 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions. He also won the Voyageurs Cup that same year.
Earlier this year, journalist Tom Bogert reported that Picault wanted to depart the club to return to the east cost.
The Whitecaps had a club option to extend his contract to 2025.
