On Saturday, the Vancouver Whitecaps defeated fellow Canadian rivals Toronto FC in a resounding 4-0 trashing.
With this result, Vanni Sartini's team moved up to the top of the Western Conference table, while also having a game in hand: 4 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss, and 13 points.
These numbers mean they've equaled their best-ever six-game start to an MLS regular season, with the other year being in 2015.

True to form, Vancouver Whitecaps head coach Vanni Sartini addressed the media following the match, and he produced another quote which went viral, and not just in the Whitecaps' world, but also across the 2 other Canadian MLS teams.
"We showed we are the best Canadian team and we have been for the past two to three years. I don't know why we have to remind everyone. Maybe we need to remind the Canadian media and OneSoccer."
Of course, Toronto FC fans and CF Montréal fans reacted.
Thankfully, Canada has a competition which exists exactly for that reason: To name the best team in the country.
