After 11 years in the CF Montréal ranks, where he eventually earned a professional contract, Alessandro Biello has found a new club.

According to journalist Maxime Truman, the 19-year-old will join Canadian Premier League expansion side FC Supra.

Biello spent the 2025 season on loan with the Halifax Wanderers, making 22 appearances and registering one assist.

He made his professional debut for Montréal in May 2024 in a Canadian Championship match against Forge, before earning his first MLS appearance the following week against Columbus. After the Bleu-blanc-noir declined his contract option for 2026, he was still invited to take part in the club’s training camp.

Biello’s move to Supra may sound familiar to some, as his father, Mauro, played for the original Supra from 1991 to 1992.

FC Supra is set to open its training camp on Wednesday, January 21, at the Complexe Multi-Sports de Laval as preparations begin for the club’s inaugural season.

The expansion side has been announcing new signings at a rapid pace and is set to unveil another addition during the first training session on Wednesday. Whether that player will be Alessandro Biello remains to be seen.

“Seeing this group come together and take the field for the first time shows how far the project has come, and it’s an exciting step as we continue preparing for our inaugural season in the CPL and the TELUS Canadian Championship,” said Supra president and co-founder Rocco Placentino in a statement.

The Canadian Premier League’s newest club learned its Canadian Championship opponent on Saturday, with a Preliminary Round clash against semi-professional side Woodbridge Strikers set for early May in Laval.

As of January 19, FC Supra’s roster includes goalkeeper Joakim Milli; defenders Matisse Chrétien, Keesean Ferdinand, Thomas Lebeuf, and Ismael Yeo; midfielders Charles Auguste, Clément Bayiha, Oussama Boughanmi, David Choinière, Aboubacar Sissoko, and Wesley Wandje; and forwards Omar Elkalkouli, Bakary Kaboré, Loïc Kwemi, and Sean Rea.
