The 2025 Canadian Premier League regular season is entering its final stretch, with only four matches remaining and the CPL Shield still undecided.

In what has been the most competitive title race in league history, Forge FC could clinch the Shield next Saturday when all four matches kick off simultaneously.

Forge will host 905 rivals York United, needing just a draw to secure the title. The Hammers would also be crowned champions if Atlético Ottawa fail to win away at Halifax on the same day.

For Ottawa, the path is clear — they must defeat the Halifax Wanderers and hope Forge lose to York.

Forge could become the first team in CPL history to win the Shield in back-to-back seasons — a milestone that would further cement their dominance in the league’s early years.

The CPL Shield also comes with a major prize: a berth in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, where the league’s top team will join the Vancouver Whitecaps and the eventual CPL playoff winner.
