Gabriel Bitar has signed for York United in a transfer from Vancouver FC, who will receive York's first pick in the 2026 CPL-U SPORTS Draft.

The 26-year-old put pen to paper for a two-year contract that runs until the end of the 2026 season.

Bitar spent the last two seasons with Vancouver FC, where he made 53 appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 8 assists.

"I'm delighted to sign and just very excited to get started now," Bitar said to York United. "I was really impressed with the team's progress last year and they were a really tough side to play against. There was a great spirit and mentality and with Mauro [Eustáquio] now in place as Head Coach, it keeps things consistent. Everyone connected with the club has big ambitions for the future and I feel it's a perfect moment to join and help deliver something special to the supporters."
