Forge formally announce signing of Dan Nimick
BY TRUENORTHFOOT PUBLISHED ON JANUARY 21, 2025

Dan Nimick has officially joined Forge.

The 24-year-old defender signed a multi-year contract with the reigning CPL Shield winners, with Josh Healey of 'Wanderers Notebook' reporting it's a two-year deal.

Nimick joins from the Halifax Wanderers, where he solidified his spot as one of the league's best defenders throughout the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

"Daniel is a complete player who brings exceptional defensive ability, leadership, and a knack for making a significant impact at both ends of the pitch," said Forge FC head coach Bobby Smyrniotis to the club. "His experience and professionalism align perfectly with the club’s ambitions and we’re thrilled to welcome him to Hamilton."

The defender made 54 appearances with the Wanderers, tallying 15 goals and 6 assists.

In 2023, he was nominated for the league's Defender of the Year award.
