The Canadian Premier League has officially arrived in Montréal.

This Sunday, FC Supra host Atlético Ottawa in their home opener at CEPSUM Stadium, the sports venue of Université de Montréal. It is shaping up to be one of the most exciting matches of the week in Canadian soccer, and perhaps the most anticipated of all.

Below, everything you need to know.

How FC Supra come into the match

The league's newest side could not have asked for a better start, defeating Pacific 3-2 away from home thanks to Alexandre Marcoux's last-minute winner to seal a historic first victory.

Loïc Kwemi opened the scoring to grab FC Supra's first-ever goal, before Marco Bustos equalized for the Tridents. Sean Rea restored the visitors' lead, only for Josh Heard to level again with a slightly deflected cross that crept past Joakim Milli.

With time running out, Diyaeddine Abzi slipped a pass forward to David Choinière, whose low cross evaded everyone in the box except Marcoux, who tapped into an open net to secure a historic victory.

How Atlético Ottawa come into the match

It has not been the best start for the reigning champions, to put it mildly.

The departures of David Rodríguez and Sam Salter have clearly taken their toll in front of goal, with Ottawa managing just one strike across their opening two defeats against Forge and Cavalry. It should be noted that they faced arguably the two toughest opponents they could have played in the opening weeks, but the clash with FC Supra will serve as a crucial test of their attacking capabilities.

Sunday's loss to Cavalry saw Daan Klomp, Harry Paton, and Goteh Ntignee all find the net for the hosts, with Kamron Habibullah's late strike remaining Ottawa's only goal of the season so far.

The arrival of Santiago López on loan from Mexican side Pumas should provide a much-needed boost to the attack, though according to the Canadian Premier League, he is unlikely to make his debut against Supra on Sunday.

Availability

FC Supra have no new availability concerns, though the club have recently signed goalkeeper Mario Gerges on a short-term replacement contract, expected to take Makhoudia Diop's spot in the squad.

On the Ottawa side, Richie Ennin remains sidelined through injury. Loïc Cloutier and Garissone Innocent, both unused substitutes in last week's 3-1 defeat to Cavalry, have been confirmed as fully fit and available, per the CPL.

Projected XIs
