CPL action returns!

It's FC Supra du Québec who take on Vancouver FC in Laval, as this match does carry some playoff implications.

Here’s everything you need to know heading into the match.

How FC Supra enter this match

It was a very nice night for FC Supra in their most recent match, as they secured a 3-1 win over Atlético Ottawa in the first leg of the Canadian Championship quarterfinals.

That victory was crucial, as Nick Razzaghi's men entered the match on a run of three straight games without a win.

Currently sitting in seventh place with three games in hand, this match feels like a must-win if the newest CPL side wants to remain in the playoff race.

How Vancouver FC enter this match

Vancouver FC would unfortunately bow out of the Canadian Championship quarterfinal stage, as MLS side CF Montréal secured a pair of 2-1 victories to eliminate the Eagles over two legs.

That result should not discourage Martin Nash's side, as in league play they have recorded three wins in their last four games, including a big 4-0 victory over Inter Toronto recently.

Currently sitting in fifth place with a game in hand, Vancouver are one point behind the Halifax Wanderers, who currently occupy the final playoff spot.

Head-to-head

These two sides have already faced each other once this season, with the match ending in a 1-1 draw at Willoughby Stadium. A late Mohamed Amissi goal was cancelled out by a stoppage-time equalizer from Matisse Chrétien.

That match was also a good indicator of how the Eagles' season has gone. They have usually been the better side in attack, but on most occasions, they have not gotten the results their performances have deserved.

Players to watch

You cannot talk about FC Supra du Québec without mentioning their star midfielder, 24-year-old Sean Rea. The Montréal native has produced an MVP-level season, recording four goals and three assists in ten matches. He is no stranger to the CPL, and league observers will remember his excellent 2022 campaign with Valour FC. This year feels different, as Rea has surpassed those levels and established himself as one of the best players in the league. Tomorrow will be no different, as the Eagles will focus on keeping Rea quiet after he provided the assist on Supra's equalizer in the first meeting between these two sides.

From one young Canadian prospect to another, 21-year-old Thierno Bah has been in excellent form over the last few games. The Vancouver FC winger has recorded a goal and four assists in twelve matches, with all but one of those assists coming in his last two appearances. After a strong 2025 campaign that saw Bah record three goals and nine assists across all competitions, many expected him to build on that season and continue his rise. Following a slow start to the year, it appears Thierno Bah is back to his dangerous best, and FC Supra will need to be prepared.

Availability

Per the official CPL report, nobody is unavailable for either side, but Vancouver FC midfielder Marcello Polisi is a yellow card away from receiving a one-match suspension due to accumulation.
