As the group stages of League A in the 2026-2027 Concacaf Nations League come to an end, it's time for the CanMNT, along with the other three pre-seeded nations, to enter the tournament.
Canada will face Guatemala in the quarterfinals, played over two legs, with Toronto confirmed as the venue for Canada's home leg, the second match on November 16.
Mexico vs. Jamaica, United States vs. Haiti, Canada vs. Guatemala, and Panama vs. Curaçao are the confirmed matchups for this stage, with the winners of each matchup earning direct qualification to the 2027 Concacaf Gold Cup, while the losing sides will participate in the Gold Cup Preliminary Round to earn their spot in the tournament.
If Canada defeats Guatemala and reaches the semifinal, they will face the winner of USA/Haiti at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, which will also host the Nations League final.
Les Rouges have never won this tournament, finishing third in 2025 and having lost the final three years before.
The hunt for a first trophy in 26 years continues for the Men's program, with the 2000 Concacaf Gold Cup triumph remaining the last time the CanMNT lifted an official trophy, but the Nations League provides a great opportunity for the players to break that drought.
The first leg will be played in Guatemala on Friday, November 13, before the second leg at BMO Field on Monday, November 16, with kickoff confirmed for 5:00 pm PT / 8:00 pm ET.
