Canada will face Panama in the U20 Championship quarter-finals

With the Concacaf U20 Championship group stage now complete, all 8 quarterfinalists know their rival for the first round of the knockout stages.

Canada will face Panama for a spot in the semi-finals of the competition and a spot in the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup.

To get there, the young Reds finished 2nd behind Honduras in Group B after winning 2 matches and tying 1.

In the first game, Canada drew to the eventual 1st-placed team after conceding a last-minute equalizer.

The Reds won the 2nd match 1-0 against Dominican Republic thanks to a late winner from Tavio Ciccarelli.

In the final matchday, Canada beat El Salvador 2-1 with a last-minute overhead kick from Mataeo Bunbury to secure all 3 points. Santiago López got the other goal.

Panama, Canada's rival for the quarter-final, finished 2nd in Group C tied on 7 points with Mexico. The Mexicans had the upper hand in the final tie-breaker: Disciplinary points.

The match will be played on July 30 at the Estadio Nou Camp in León, 10pm ET / 7pm PT kick-off time.

The winner will qualify to the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup and also secure a spot in the semi-finals, where they'll meet either the United States or Guatemala.
