Vancouver FC, the
CPL's newest club, has released a render of how their stadium will look like once it's ready for use.
Fans will be able to see the stadium in action on May 7, when the club faces
Cavalry FC in the 4th week of CPL action.
The stadium will hold as many as a 6,560 people, making it the 4th biggest stadium in the league, and the biggest non-football stadium (Tim Hortons Field, IG Field, TD Place) in the league. The stadium is able to expand in capacity.
“We are delighted to share our vision for our future home with our fans, who can expect a stadium to rise before their eyes in the coming months as we look ahead to hosting our first match in club history later this year,” said Rob Friend, President, Vancouver FC. “We are excited to provide a proper football experience for every fan that walks through our doors, and to see this stadium come to life in the near future.” H/T

The south end of the stadium will be home to the club's supporters' groups. The eastern grandstand will feature a Cabana club. The stadium will also feature various entertainment areas, including one area specifically designated for hosting a mini food truck event on game days, where you can find a variety of delicious food from local vendors.
The club's innovative flat-pack stadium, housed in shipping containers, arrived at the Port of Vancouver on Wednesday. Work has begun at the future site of Vancouver FC to put in place the concrete foundations and essential facilities that will support the pre-fabricated, modular design.
