Atlético Ottawa can clinch a playoff spot this weekend with seven matches to go.
Sitting second in the league–21 points clear of 6th-placed Pacific–Ottléti will secure their ticket to the post-season if one of the following scenarios happens:
- Atlético Ottawa beats Vancouver FC on Saturday, Aug. 30, AND Pacific FC fails to beat Valour FC on Sunday, Aug. 31.
- Atlético Ottawa draws against Vancouver FC on Saturday, Aug. 30, AND Pacific FC loses against Valour FC on Sunday, Aug. 31.
This would mark the earliest qualification to the playoffs for Ottléti, and their third-ever appearance in the post-season after the 2022 and 2024 seasons.
The capital-based side has enjoyed a phenomenal season, currently competing for the CPL Shield as well as the Canadian Championship.
